AUSTIN, TEXAS – August 28, 2011 - Gurnade, Inc. announced today the release of a conceptual rendering of the Scion FR-S. The Scion FR-S, originally dubbed the Toyota FT-86 and subsequently the Toyota FT-86ii, oozes speed, sophistication, and quality. The vehicle marks a first for the Scion brand, as it’s their official introduction into the sport-class market. The vehicle, although still a concept, features a gull wing shaped roof, a trapezoidal rear end, and headlights fit for the future.

Gurnade Design Firm, widely known throughout the automotive industry as a leader in vehicle renderings, took it upon themselves to transform the FR-S into a track-ready Scion. With help from industry leader and designer, Neil Tjin (via the Tjin Edition Roadshow), they set out to take the Scion FR-S to the next level.

Gurnade rendered the vehicle in Wraptivo Matte Metallic Silver wrap, a color fit for track warriors and a crowd favorite among enthusiasts. Matte coral accents, found on the wing (from the Toyota FT-86ii), sport mirrors, enlarged calipers, and tow hook add, provide a subtle design contrast that adds style to function. A PowerHouse Amuse styled front bumper with carbon fiber inlays and hood complete the aggressive track-spec package. Three-piece 21” brushed gunmetal ADV10 wheels, provided by AdvanceOne Wheels, and sport suspension not only give the vehicle a sexy stance, but also keep the car glued to the track. Other modifications, including sport seats and relocated door handles, make this concept appear more production ready.
